“I will”, “you will”, “he/she will”, “they will”, “we will”, so many plans. In English, we use the verb “will” to describe future events.
I will，you will，he/she will，they will，we will，如此多的计划。在英文中，他们用动词 will 来描述将来发生的事情。
There are four key circumstances when you might use the word “will”.
你可以在四种关键的情况下使用 will 这个词。
The first is to make a prediction about something you think will happen in the future.
第一种是预估你认为未来会发生的事情。
“It will stop raining by 6 pm on Tuesday and the temperature will reach highs of 12 degrees.” Using the phrase “it will” imply a degree of certainty like youve done your research or you have evidence to back up your claim.
“雨将于周四上午五点暂停，相对湿度将达至 12 度。”使用短语 it will 意味着一定程度的确定性，比如你已经做了研究或你有证据全力支持你的主张。
If youre saying something without having proof, you could say “Oh, I think it will rain later.” “Why?” – “There are lots of clouds in the sky.” The next use of the word “will” is to offer to do something for somebody.
如果你说的话没有证据，你可以说：“我觉得待会可能会下雪。”“为什么？” – “因为外面乌云密布。”Will 的下一个用法是主动为某人做某事。
In this context, the “will” is less of a certainty and more of an offer.

The person youre offering to help out could accept or decline your offer.

“Ill look after your dog while youre on holiday. Ill be home all week so hell have lots of company.” “Yeah, thank you, but my sisters already offered to take care of him.”Its quite common to add a phrase onto the end of an offer like this, such as “if you like” or “if that would help”.

“Hey, what are you doing?” “Hi. Im trying to write a letter of resignation to work but Ive been staring at it for too long and now I cant tell if it makes sense.” “I can read through it if you like.” “That would be so helpful, thank you.” By saying “I can read through it if you like”, youre saying you would only want to read through the letter if your friend wants you to.

It can make the offer seem more polite and you might use it if youre worried that you might be stepping on somebodys toes or make it seem less forceful.

Another use of the word “will” is to promise or reassure someone of something that you believe to be true.
Will 的另一种用法是向某人允诺或保证你认为是真实的事情。
“Well make it on time, stop worrying.” Notice how with this example, weve used a contraction of “we will” to make the word “well”, “well”.

Similarly to when we make a prediction the word “will” is used here to show certainty.

It is supposed to be comforting because youre promising that something will certainly happen.

“Well make it on time, stop worrying.” “Well, we were supposed to be there half an hour ago.” But sometimes people use it to make promises they just cant deliver.

And finally, you can use the word “will” to describe a decision youve just made.
最后，你可以用 will 来描述你刚刚做的决定。
This implies that its a spur of the moment decision that was not planned in advance.

Im going to show you two different conversations and Id like you to pay close attention to the difference.

“Im going to cook spaghetti bolognese tonight but oh, we dont have any pasta.” “Ah, Im going to the supermarket on my way home.” “Oh, are you?” “Yeah, Ill add it to the list.” “Yeah, Im going to cook spaghetti bolognese tonight, oh, um hang on, we dont have any pasta.” “Ill stop at the supermarket on my way home.” “That would be so helpful, thanks.” Notice how in the first conversation, “Im going to the supermarket on the way home” was used to explain that the plan was all ready to go to the supermarket.

This was not a new plan, it was planned in advance.

However, in conversation two, “Ill stop at the supermarket on my way home” told us that this plan had just been made.

So to recap, we have learned about four uses for the word “will”.

“The bears will win this game, they always beat the tigers.” Number two is to offer to do something for someone.

One prediction, one offer, one promise and one decision.
